Healing Services
At the 7.00pm Holy Communion on the first Wednesday of each month, the priest invites anyone who wishes, to kneel at the altar rail to pray for healing either for themselves or for someone close to them.
The priest places her/his hands upon each person’s head and says:
In the name of God and trusting in his might alone, receive Christ’s healing touch to make you (and all whom you have prayed for) whole. May Christ bring you wholeness of body, mind and spirit, deliver you from evil, and give you his peace. Amen.
Healing, we believe, can take many forms, perhaps, most commonly, renewed strength in the face of physical or emotional difficulties, perhaps guidance and new perspectives, or perhaps the gradual acceptance of new circumstances. All come through the love and grace of God alone.
