Overseas Projects

WIDENING THE APPEAL

At St Peter’s Church, we are conscious of a wider responsibility to help others with needs around the world. We have therefore committed ourselves to raising a further £25,000 for three overseas projects:

  • helping to build a community room at the Kalutara Temple in Sri Lanka (where a member of our congregation has helped with post-tsunami projects)
  • helping to establish an HIV/Aids centre in Taung, our link parish in South Africa
  • supporting the Sightsavers Childhood Cataract campaign in Bangladesh.

If you wish to make a donation towards this overseas appeal, please contact Revd Mark Butchers at mark.butchers@dsl.pipex.com or Peter Bridges at twpeterbridges@btinternet.com.
