Jess writes: “I have worshipped at St Peter’s since 2009 and am excited about the challenges and opportunities of this role. As a parent of two children who are part of Children’s Church, I have benefited from the support and companionship of the church community at St Peter’s. It is a privilege to be more involved in serving the people of St Peter’s and Wolvercote as coordinator of this vital work with children and families.

I lead an amazing team of volunteers in planning weekly services for children 0-6 and 7-9 years old during the 10am service, and helping to organise a variety of special services for children throughout the year. We have written a children’s liturgy, which roughly follows the adult service, with opportunities to praise, pray, play and ponder. The service also includes a ‘feast’.

Additionally, volunteers run a monthly 10+ group and a weekly parent and baby group.

We are committed to finding appropriate ways to engage, inspire and challenge our children and exploring new ways of worshipping together. If you have any ideas, please do share them.”
