St Peter’s is a Fairtrade Church. We are committed to:

Fairtrade stall at Wolvercote Farmers’ Market

  • using Fairtrade tea, coffee for all Church meetings;
  • introducing other Fairtrade products (such as sugar, biscuits, fruit);
  • promoting Fairtrade during Fairtrade fortnight in March and other relevant activities.

On the first Sunday of the month, from 10:00am-1:00pm, St Peter’s runs a Fairtrade stall at the Farmers’ Market which is held in the Wolvercote’s Community Pub, the White Hart, in Lower Wolvercote. Volunteers are always welcomed. Contact Lorna Logan on 01865 556486 (or lornlogan@fsmail.net).

The four Summertown-Wolvercote Church Partnership churches (St Peter’s, St Michael’s & All Angels, Summertown URC and Wolvercote Baptist Church) also have a Make Poverty History Group, which works actively to promote Fairtrade in the shops in Summertown and Wolvercote. More details about this group are on the Church Partnership pages, under Shared Activities.
