Exploring Christianity
Exploring Christianity is for anyone who wishes to find out more about the Christian faith, either as an enquirer or as an already committed Christian. If you would like an overview of Christian faith, belief and practice, Revd Dr Mark Butchers leads a group from time to time exploring all of these. The group meets one evening a week for three blocks of five weeks. The topics covered include:
- Christian perspectives on creation and humanity
- The problem of evil and suffering
- How God acts in creation
- Jesus: his life death and resurrection
- Prayer
- The sacraments of Holy Communion and Baptism
- Approaches to the Bible
- The Church
- Christian living
Please give Mark a ring on 515640 if you are interested in joining the next Exploring Christianity group.
For those who want more than an overview, there are more advanced Exploring Faith Study Courses, organised by the Summertown-Wolvercote Church Partnership. For details of these, please go to the Church Partnership Pages – click on Shared Activities and then Study Courses.
