Baptisms

Baptism (also known as Christening) is primarily a service of thanksgiving for the gift of your child, and a celebration of God’s constant love for him/her. Through baptism, your son or daughter is welcomed into the family of the Church. It is also through baptism that you and the godparents promise to help your child grow in their relationship with God.

Baptisms usually take place during the 10am Parish Communion on Sundays. If you are thinking about having your child baptised, please ring the Vicar. He will make a time to visit you with the application form and other information about baptism. Please note that godparents have to be baptised themselves.
