The church office is normally open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings 9:00-1:00. The Parish Administrator is Julia Goddard.
St Peter’s Church is opposite Wolvercote Primary School in First Turn, which is the last turning on the left before the Wolvercote roundabout at the top of the Woodstock Road.
Bus services: the Oxford Bus Company service number 6 runs from Oxford City Centre (outside the Odeon Magdalen Street) to Lower Wolvercote. View timetable here. Alight at Woodstock Road/First Turn stop and walk 100m to the Church. Service ST2 runs Monday to Friday only, continuing on to Wytham.
By car from Oxford City Centre: drive north up the Woodstock Road (A4144) for nearly three miles passing through Summertown, St Edward’s School and St Gregory and St Augustine Roman Catholic Church, both on your right. Take the last turning on the left before the Wolvercote roundabout into First Turn. The church is on your right.
By car from out of Oxford: Follow the Oxford Ring road (A40) to the Wolvercote roundabout, where the A40 meets the A44, the A4144 out of Oxford, and close to the A34 Peartree roundabout with access to the M40 Junction 9. Take Woodstock Road and then turn first right into First Turn.
Parking: Upper Wolvercote is a restricted residents parking zone. Street parking is allowed for a maximum of two hours during the week. Restrictions are lifted in the evenings and on Sunday.
Access: Access into the Church is flat. There is one small step into The Old School Room. There are toilets in St Peter’s Rooms, including a toilet for disabled people.The Church has a hearing induction loop, and we are happy to provide enlarged copies of the service and hymns, on request. If coming to the altar rail to receive the bread and wine of communion is difficult for you, the clergy will bring them to you.
