The St Peter’s Choir

The adult choir at St Peter’s rehearses on Friday evening for careful note-learning, and meets at 09:00 on Sunday morning to prepare for the 10:00 service. It leads the congregation and sings an anthem at the family communion, and of course makes a special effort for our Advent and Christmas carol services.
Our Director of Music, Chris Fletcher-Campbell, welcomes anyone who likes singing to join the choir. Some of us are there every week but some can only come occasionally. Either way you are welcome to contribute to the music by singing in the choir. Those who cannot sight-read music are encouraged and supported and helped to learn the notes.

There are occasional organ recitals on our new pipe organ. Chris also organises concerts, attracting audiences from around Oxford, the proceeds of which support Wolvercote Young Peoples’ Club.
